About this user

Chris Murray is a 3D graphics production veteran, experienced 3D Animation instructor, published author, and Autodesk employee.

He has created digital 3D content for well-known clients such as CNN.com, Walt Disney Attractions, Johnson & Johnson, CanonUSA, ABC television, Nickelodeon, and Sega. Recent clients include Reallusion, Animill, The Cherokee Nation, and Turbosquid. He is the founder of CME3D, a graphics production studio and consulting firm in Orlando.

Besides his commercial success, Murray has maintained a career-long relationship with learning. While at the University of Central Florida, Murray was faculty in the School of Film and Digital Media and a Senior Content Producer for the Media Convergence Lab developing innovative 3D entertainment technologies. Finally, he was the first Associate Director of the Florida Interactive Entertainment Academy—a cutting edge school for video game development. He has also served as Department Chairman for Digital Production at Full Sail Real World Education.

Currently he works for Autodesk as a Technical Marketing Specialist for the 3dsMax suite of tools (including Matchmover and Composite)

Chris has presented to hundreds of interactive media, Internet, and 3D professionals internationally. He recently presented at Autodesk University 2007 in Las Vegas. He has also presented at the Game Developers Conference, Web 2000, 3D Design Conference, IBC Europe, and SIGGRAPH exhibit. He has also provided key consultations for Boeing, United Space Alliance (NASA), Lockheed Martin, Disney Imagineering, and Westinghouse.

Chris has also taken the time to author a book, Mastering 3D Studio Max. Additionally, he has also authored numerous tutorials and end-user guides.
