Belief systems are just what the name implies. If your thought process is lazy and prejudiced by your Belief system you will find yourself in a regressive loop that never finds a conclusion.

This is what the liberal elite consider to be intellectualism. If it matches the eco/progressive doctrine dejour and it is PC and feels good it is good and it is smarter and more logical. If it is hard and messy and bloody then it is bad and somebody else's fault, somebody who doesn't understand the complexities and nuances of the issues.

Then when you ask them to explain the complexities and nuances they can't.
They will usually change the subject, and when cornered they will (the ones that are honest enough) will admit that they don't know as much as they should about the given subject. Others will look at you with a bemused look as if to say I know I understand this but there is no way you will because of your credintials.
Or worse I don't understand it either but some awful impressive guys with really impressive sounding titles, who are real popular, or played in a movie one time they obviously understand it because they said so, so that is why it is fact.

You will say that you could say the same about fundamental religious people. I would say that is what liberalism has become a fundamental religion.

Is that what liberalism is supposed to be?

I don't think so.

Is this kind of circular group think we should be encouraging in our Universities, in our media, in our Country?

I don't think so.

This circular group think serves only one purpose and one purpose only and that is

it is the perpetual motion machine that drives the political establishment.
