Did they release the cable somehow in previous liftings of towers? Or was this the only tower they raised and they didn't realize a taught cable issue?

It's a risk if the cable is short and can't be released once the tower is vertical. It's like painting yourself into a corner.

Wonder whatever happened to the breakfast scene and the traditional cake like what is shown in this clip. NASA would always show it as part of the flight day highlights for each mission but then stopped showing it.

That commercial aired around 1979 in the U.S. The background music was a cover of the 60's tune Barefootin' by Robert Parker and the announcer in the commercial said 'Americans love to go barefoot!'. Everyone in the commercial had bare feet. I haven't seen it posted on youtube.

16-17 psi is getting up there. Many of the cheaper boards use about half that pressure.

One should distinguish between Nelson Ledges Quarry Park which is privately owned and charges an admission fee and the nearby Nelson Ledges State Park which is a free public park. NLQP is where the concerts are held. NLSP is mainly a hiking park with sandstone formations.

Good to wear safety glasses. Never know if some gas bubbles are in the ice that could cause it to explode. Same goes for dumping chunks of dry ice in water.

Do you do stretching exercises to make them like that? Or is it just how Mama Nature made you? I noticed my feet and toes became much more flexible after I started going barefoot a lot indoors and outdoors. Still not nearly as flexible as yours, though. :o)
