the allison is a completly different setup compared to gm transmissions, it has much larger clutch packs and planetary gearsets to handle the dmax's high torque, and do your research the new silverado/sierra truck is the most american truck out there, the new powerstroke engine is built in mexico...

@HPJVRBLB44 My injection pump went bad a couple of years ago and when i put the new pump on it smoked like that. Im guessing whoever rebuilt or remanufactured it turned it up some. The 6.2 is nothing for horsepower and is a gutless wonder but its different and thats why i like it and a lot cheape...

All the vortec engines have a slight knock when their cold, its caused by a carbon build up on top of the pistons from what ive heard, goes away once warmed up, doesnt hurt anything...still great motors
