This is just a snap shot of only a part of the battle. There was a lot more to it than Patton was involved with. A LOT more. I have an uncle that never made it back home because of this battle.

My family was treated very much the same at this time even though my granddad fought for the US and was an interpreter who interrogated German prisoners after he had been wounded. The only difference was at that time there were a lot more Germans where I grew up than any other nationality.

Where are all the dead horses? The whole place was littered with thousands of dead and rotting mules and horses. This show makes things look cleaner than they actually were. As bad as it looks on here it was really worse.
