@g3rgu yea that is a popular theory, i'm just not sure wut the makers of the prequel wanted the audience to think when that scene happened. even the characters in both movies never talk about wut it actually is, just wut it does. but i guess that's how it should be.

all they had to do was let lars be the 1 to fly the chopper in the end, then it would have matched up to the original. i'm pretty sure the makers of this film didn't realize that in the original it was the pilot who got shot by garry.

he didn't know he was infected because he was dead....the thing kills and absorbs it's victims. it simply staged the heart attack so it could catch them off guard, and wasn't worried about failing since palmer was infected as well.

i found this review incredibly, painfully, painfully bland. and pretty boring.

i kinda wished they didn't show the thing break out of the ice. whether or not u think that's the true form, the monster is always scarier when u don't really know wut it is or where it comes from.

why is everyone complaining that every little thing doesn't match up with the 82 version? prequels r hard to pull off. and the director wanted to make his own movie, not simply check things off a list.
