Gambit is no stranger to music, his grandmother was a singer from Trinidad, where she met his grandfather. Also among his musically inclined relatives includes his sister who sings, writes and plays guitar. His sister, Wendy Colonna, was always a huge influence to him as a child.
Gambit started off rapping in the beginning of 2007 after the late great Pimp C passed away. Although this is the official date of his burst on the scene his dream to play and make music were always there with him.
"I would be sitting in class, with my pen fluttering back and forth and then i would write a few lines and think of something clever to finish off the sentence", says Gambit.
"I really dont know what i was writing, I mean I knew, but at that time i didnt know what to make of it. The fire was always in me", Gambit continues.
Gambit started dropping mixtapes and started learning the art of recording and engineering music. He went from using other peoples beats and not know what a voice compressor was to being able to make and produce the beat and then engineer everything in the song to have a studio sound.
In early 2009 Gambit started UnderGroundSound Records, his record company. With his persistence and talent his will become one of the fastest growing artist in the area. You can feel his determination in every line in every song. He is a artist you must not miss!
