Hate and biggortry in the Bible? You mean the parts where Jesus says to "love your neighbor like yourself" and to "lay down your sword"? Those are the rules for Christians, what Jesus said.

And yes, Christians do have an onus to explain why they believe God exists. Even the Bible says we should defend our faith respectfully. But atheists also have an onus to explain how a universe comes about with no gods.

Also you said "Most atheists don't say there is not a god" ... then that makes them agnostic, not atheist. Basically you are saying "I am an atheist but I dont want to give any evidense as to how atheism is possible, for example how a universe comes about with no gods involved."
