Hi, the Lightning is 'twin' turbine' two RR Avon 302's, staggered one above the other, No1 sits above the Ventral tank and No2 on top, just infornt of the fin

Hi, that is no 'mechanism' it is purely the air condensating at it accelerates through the intake and around the radar 'bullet' as both engines come up to 100% power, it a common thing
