People really need to get lives, have you soon the way race horses are looked after these days - better than most human beings. They are bred to run not stand in a field bored brainless all day. When the jockey falls, would someone care to tell me why half of them carry on running for miles, espe...

Whoever did this video hasn't got a clue what their talking about. Neville Southall was the best goalkeeper in the World from 1984 until 1992, and Ray Clemence was the best in the World in the late seventies, both were in a different league to Peter Shilton. Schmiechel was the best in the World f...

It is truly remarkable what has happened to Crosby (now Sefton Central, same boundaries as Crosby in 1983 but without Victoria Ward). I was a Conservative Councillor from 2003-2011 in Manor, the same seat as the Mayor who announced the result Miss Jenny Kemp. From the 6th safest seat in 1979 to a...

You won't be independent soon. The Scottish people (majority) will not vote for it. There is nothing wrong with being a proud Scot with nationalist sentiments, the same goes for English, Welsh and Irish people, but it can cloud economic judgement to alarming levels. The Union has served us well f...

How on earth could any Government continue to bail out industry such as steel. Losing £2 billion a year, surviving only through Government subsidy is no way forward. If you don't at least break even in business you go bust, not rocket science is it. No business or industry can continue to run at ...

What a fantastic statesman William Whitelaw was - we could do with more like him today. The generation that fought in the war just seemed to have more about them. He was able to be loyal to both Heath and Thatcher. The Thatcher Government collapsed after Whitelaw retired.
