Haunting and sinister track, apparently inspired by the gypsy three fingered guitar player Django Rhineheart of whom slade members were fans. I think this one of all those seventies track demonstrate the complexity and creativity of the genre

Truly a delightful song, makes me cry, mind you ...lots of things do. Mostly old stuff....and faithless.

It could sound really middle of the road, like some Tim Buckley, But the vocal is dead folksy so it gets away with it

I would give £1000 for this album. I heard it once at a party in 1981 and remember every track (I think). I have thought about it and sung it in my head every once in a while. This is the first time I have heard this track since that night!!

Actually its alright, nothing special though

OK so Tom is a bit of a lightweight, Rickie Lee Jones could do more dope and drink him under the table. He never shot anyone or robbed any liquor stores, even so this track is almost getting there

very striking I have been touched by the stories this song seems to evoke. I had a friend who loved this song and died in his youth and prime. I often think of the other reference to time in Meet on the Ledge a song that reminds us of our loss and the possibility of one last meeting.

This is great, I just woke up the other day with this song in my head and here it is!. Did the singer ever do any acting, I remember a film about a Northumbrian farm where he plays a farmer with a brother who is gay, Sammy Sez is also an excellent track I would love a copy of the album
