Old McCulloch and Homelite chain saws were good heavy duty saws back in the day. Look at pictures of the redwood harvest they don't make any thing like they use to. The old trucks would carry pieces of wood 6' in dia. 8'-10' long with 4 and 6 cylinder engines.

Hey kid. Have you ever looked up the definition of a knife? Knifes are for cutting not chopping, just to help you out. To chop you need a machete, hatchet, or axe. And to split a wedge is handy. Use the right tool for the job you are doing. Different tools are made for a reason
