When I started to learn the bass, I watched a video "weo" by Joey Hernandez, here on YouTube. Joey uploaded a lot of videos in which he studies the style of master bassist Joe Nicolas (playing for Ramon Orlando). Because this style differs so much from contemporary merengue, I became very interested.

The version I have posted here is a simplified version of what Joey Hernandez posted. I decided to learn from his version, to get a feel for the style. It is my intention to keep learning from his video's, and hopefully post my own.
