I don't think he is the GOAT yet, that would be disrespectful to MJ to name someone GOAT even if that someone ain't even finish playing right.. but just pure skills and talent? He is the Best i've seen.. there's a reason he's the ONLY guard ever drafted out of high school, and it's because of his skills.
Also fuck the pussies who says MJ faced great defense, bet you can't say he faced Great competition, he fuckin faced a watered down league, basically had the JAZZ as the best competition SMH.. the league just had an expansion, there wasn't much talent everywhere, they've got garbage teams without stars whatsoever, bird and magic was old.. He was the most athletic player at that time and was a big guard, way strong than the short or none athletic players that guard him.. one on one defense was better then, but i don't think it would've made any difference when the guy can literally put his armpits in the rim and his defenders was payton, dumars, havlicek, majerle, hornacek, russell, and other wimps..
Team defense is way better anyway in today's era, not even close.

That's why i'm not impress with the 50%FG, he drives a lot than kobe, of course he has better shot selection, i give him that, he's better playin organize ball than kobe cause he went to college..
but kobe has better offensive skills, has way more diversity in his shots, he may not have better scoring totals, which obviously is because Mj is a bigger ballhog, shoots more than him.
but kobe has range that is not even close to mj's-all in all i think offense goes to kobe.
Defense? Mj all the way, but kobe does have that lockdown defense as well if he wants to get a stop.
