Well known as a public Autodesk figure in user group meetings, the Autodesk discussion groups, and his web log "blog" Between the Lines (blogs.autodesk.com) Shaan has worked for Autodesk for over 10 years. Currently Shaan is a Technical Marketing Manager for the Platform Technologies Division which includes the world famous AutoCAD product. In addition Shaan is the Worldwide MyFeedback Program Manager for all Autodesk products and betas at http://myfeedback.autodesk.com. As an avid Autodesk software user since 1989 Shaan is a current user of AutoCAD, Autodesk Viz, Autodesk Inventor, DWF, Autodesk Viz, and Autodesk 3ds Max. He used some of these products as a customer prior to joining Autodesk in 1998. He was previously a mechanical designer involved in various large projects. Some of the design and construction projects in his past are AISC major steel bridges, hydroelectric, structural steel, process piping, large heat exchangers and ASME pressure vessels. Shaan was featured as a "bleeding edge" customer during the AutoCAD R14 Design Your World Live broadcast in May 1997, and also included on the AutoCAD R14 demo CD-ROM.

Shaan considers himself to be a engineering designer and design product user and customer evangelist first, and an Autodesk employee second.
