Q: How comes this crazy idea ? I want to say :
A: The story, more or less, is this one; we bought a Ferrari355 Berlinetta that suffered an accident that completely destroyed all the upper part of the body shell, but the rest of the car from the chassis to the engine and gearbox were perfect. Then the Ferrari bought as occasion arrived in our factory, and we knew that something was going to happen to it; firstly we taught about doing with it a prototype for track use, but no definitive idea was nice enough to have the work started on the 355. Then one day we found the wreck of a 2cv Furgonette and for few Euros bought it.Then the Furgonette wrecks arrived to our factory and, were placed just at the side of the Ferrari. Guess what??? after a couple of week while we were in front of them we started to look at the two sleeping babies, more and more and..BANG we had the idea!
Q: Why you build it???
A: Because we are passionate of car and nice mechanics works. What we did has been done just to satisfy our desire to be able do to for our self something like the realizations we have always seen in the magazine done by the pros.
Q: What was really difficult to do?
A: Yes terribly crazy, just look at the pictures of the working process. After looking at this pictures, if you think to have a clue of the size of the problems we had to face believe me, you are not even 10% close of how was difficult!!!!
Q: How long it took to build this car?
A: It took 4 years and something like 1.500 + hours of work on it.
Q: How much did you pay for the original 2CV?
A: The body shell was in bad condition so we haven't paid so much for it.
Q: Do you go on track with it ? Do you have plans for it, such as competitions?
A: Yes we did. Even if the 2CV NIMIK is a lady and doesnt need to demonstrate anything to anyone, she has a strong V8 heart that sometimes need to run free in a proper place!
Q. Are you going to sell it?
A: Yes, we decided it that if may meet someone crazier enough than ourself to make an intresting offer, well surely evaluate it.
Q: How much will you sell it for?
A: Ask me no question, tell you no lies:-D. Just consider that we have spent more than 150.000 euros to have the work done.
Q. Do you have any other strange idea like this for the future?
A: Unfortunately for our wives... YES! Just keep looking at our web site, and youll soon see something new. We have land and water ideas buzzing in our minds, sowell see.
