Darren aims to constantly bring people together through film by challenging peoples perceptions whilst highlighting social issues and telling character driven stories. He strives to make films that stand out from the crowd working on new and original material.

His speciality is in making an actor come to life as their character to give a raw emotional and close to life performance that viewers can believe in. Darren works in a style that uses minimal lighting and often working with a small crew, this he believes gives the film the authenticity of a real life situation. He likes to workshop his films spending time with actors developing the characters and sometimes re-works scripts if he feels that a more natural dialogue is needed.
