Your video brought back childhood memories of the lights going out during storms or hot evenings. The usual cause was "Bertha", the transformer in the next street spitting the dummy.

Short and very sweet - a very good film sequence. Flying hub reduction will always grab the attention of my eardrums.

Yes, this sound is classic. I remember catching these in Sydney in the early 90's. There is nothing quite like the sound of the hub reduction differential on an O305. Not to mention the retarder sound! As far as I'm concerned, they were the best bus Mercedes Benz ever made.
