Hi. My name is Larry Oliveri. I am 17 years old, and I'm a popular opera singer in Staten Island, New York. I was diagnosed with Autism when I was 3 years old. I have two younger brothers, Paulie who is 15, and Christopher who is 9. When I was 7, I saw Jeff Gordon's rainbow car at a computer store. That sparked my interest in NASCAR. I also got the rest of the family, especially Paulie hooked on the sport. When I was 9, I sang the National Anthem for the Autism Fondation for New York. That was when I got into Josh Groban. About a couple of years ago, I started to listen to such legends as Pavarotti and Bocelli. I also listen to Placido Domingo and Jose Carreras. Last year, I got into the works of Maestro Italiano, Ennio Morricone. In May, I sang the National Anthem at PNC Field in Scranton,PA for the Yankees' AAA team, and sang God Bless America and gave the command to start engines as grand marshall for the Autism Speaks 400 at Dover Downs Int'l Speedway.
