Thing is... Even though I'm kind of bored of soloing vids I still seem to get drawn to Buddy. It's just a beautiful, extraordinary thing to watch and seems fresh every time. Like Gadd. But with Travis I can't stay with it for even a minute without getting completely bored and quite irritable.

You're an idiot for taking on most of the online jazz drum community with such an ill-informed statement - in my opinion. Not for having an opinion. It's up to you whether you expose your ignorance on the worldwide web. Maybe it's you that needs to go back to the nursary...

Guys I'm so impressed. BSF (Buddy Rich Band) is probably my favourite swing track of all time on my favourite album - and you people swing it like crazy.
I'm a young pro drummer, not some old jazz duffer by the way.

Please don't write like that, Randy. Basie is like BB King, it's as much about what he doesn't play. See AndreaPortovnere's comment.

Great
OK. Fair enough. Sorry to call you an arse. It's just that you can't go about YouTube saying Buddy solos are easy - he's too loved and respected. Anyway. Lets both get back to the practice pads!
