@lowryfern I think by ''8-5'' he means the lifestyle that usually accompanies the 8-5. A house, wife, mortgage, car, kids, and grandma, etc. That's what he couldn't stand. I don't think he was being literal.

Its an ironic view on the disadvantaged portion of society, its about time somebody highlighted the plight of the poor, not only in limerick, but nationwide. If a few middle class children or teenagers fail to see the humour and take it literally, fuck 'em!
