With the Hornady 00Buckshot I can only fit 7 in the mag. There is brands of 00Buckshop that have slightly shorter shells that can fit 8 in the mag. You will need to research or talk to your local gun shop.

The Rossi 357 Magnum is a different revolver than the .38 revolver. You can shot .38 cal rounds out of a 357 Magnum though, but not the other way around.
