are you using qt or is it install this will help in the theme sector for kde and gnome application to make them look the same install qt3 qt4 then when that install type in qtconfig in terminal then you can change the themes both kde and gnome application and not just one or the other

i would recommend to stick for ubuntu for a couple of months a year at least because what you sayed was stupid and the reason it out dated it because it stable the older the software the less bugs there are in that os

gnome 3 always buggy that why ubuntu 11.10 has problem in unity
