About this user

SoSA was born on the 12th of November 1980 at South East Baptist Hospital in San Antonio, TX. Raised without a father, the youngest of 4 siblings and a product of the gangster rap era, SoSA turned to the pen and pad at a very young age.

Although he was always destined for the spotlight, escaping the realities of the streets wasn't easy. He grew up seeing both of his older brothers in the drug game. After dropping out of high school in the 11th grade, it appeared he was getting closer to a jail cell than the spotlight. Instead he turned the focus of his extra time to the studio and recording music.

Heavily influenced by some of San Antonio's most infamous Eastside rappers such as Lil Sin, Joshay, and Nino of P.K.O, SoSA has took it upon himself to carry on the true essence of San Antonio rap and the people that originated it. During 1999-2006 he dropped solo projects, some group projects and co owned his own independent label, but a chance meeting with Jason "JayLee" Leonard in 2006 changed everything. JayLee made him the premier artist on the fast rising record label Cocked-N-Locked.

Ultimately they partnered up to form SoSanAntone Inc. in 2010. After dropping 7 mixtapes in the last 3 years and selling over 15k units independently SoSA is now preparing for the 2011 release of his highly anticipated mixtape Topic of Discussion 3. SoSA is also currently working on his debut solo album due out in early 2012.
