How important it is to be able to see these migrants as our fellow humans. We need to get beyond the fear for our own economic security and learn to want to share with these other citizens of our planet.
Although the fears of loss of jobs have to be acknowledged as real, we should perhaps put our rights as landowners in perspective by understanding how the Native Americans felt when faced with the migrants from Europe. How different things would have been, if they had had the technology for a million-dollar wall to keep migrants out.
