@jpk1111 Yes in the past but there is the directive 1344.10. Which is an extension of the Hatch Act of 1939 which at one point did not apply to the Military. It does now. VETERANS such as Kennedy and Nixon were allowed to wear uniforms and announce their ranks because they ARE NOT ACTIVE MILITARY...
