They did this sort of crap with a twist ending in the Matrix and then George Lucas hit the last nail in the coffin of the of happy endings and why? Because some idiots screaming and yealing "WE WANT SOMETHING EPIC AND DIFFIRENT" thanks guys for killing art and get us stuck with twist endings instead
