MY VIEW ON PAN-ARABISM:
Why Pan-Arabism rather than Pan-Islam? Before we Arabs unite with any other nation, we should first unite with each other. It doesn't mean that we shouldn't ally with other Muslim or non-Muslim countries (of course we must have allies), but we must work on our internal unity first and foremost. We have also much more to share with Christian or Jewish (not zionist) Arabs, who are part of our Nation, than with any non-Arab Muslim. In addition to this, whether we like it or not, current Arab Muslim States and Arab Muslim individuals all have different and personal interpretations of the Quran, and only God can judge who has the rightest path. But what unites us all, is a common language (Arabic) and a common cultural and historical heritage. Ethnic minorities (Berbers, Kurds, Assyrians, Armenians...etc) are part of this heritage, therefore they are part of our Nation. Their cultural specifities must be recognized and their languages must be given the status of 2nd official language (after Arabic). They are full part citizens of the Arab Nation (separatists get lost!). After Arabity, the second basis we must unite on is Socialism. All our citizens must be given equal rights and equal chances in life. Our Nation must promote Education (which must be free) and develop Scientific Research, in the Tradition of our great Ancestors of the great Arab-Muslim Empire. Freemasonry must be strictly prohibited. We don't want to attack or invade any other country, but our military must be strong enough to defend us against any foreign aggression. The Arab unity is a bastion against oligarchy, capitalism, colonialism and zionism. Arabs from Morocco to Iraq, unite!
I support also Pan-Africanism, Pan-Latinism, Pan-Slavism and any other similar union, as long as it's based on similar values.
ABOUT IRAN:
I am a Pan-Arabist and I support Iran. I consider Saddam Hussein to be a great Arab leader (R.I.P. Saddam), and at the same time, I have respect for Ahmadinejad. This is not contradictory. I think one of the major mistakes Iraq and Iran made was to go on war against each other, by alternately playing the US-puppet role against each other. If instead of exhausting their militaries in a useless war, both countries had refused war and worked on common interests to strengthen themselves, they could both have nukes today. NATO would never have attacked Iraq, and Iran wouldn't be threatened by the West either. I hope both Iranians and Iraqis will learn from their past mistakes, forget past wars and unite again. Finally, both are victims of the same evil disease which is Western imperialism. In history, Iran always was an ally of the Arab World, and so it should be in the future.
