Use the 2811 routers. Just add the serial interfaces under Physical tab. No other routers seem to allow tunnel interfaces on PT. I wasted a lot of time before I realized that. Hope that helps. Russ

I can do these in my sleep now. I have memorized the CIDR masks like my own name. And the magic number is so easy. Just do the place holders and that tells you the network increments.

you cant use the .255 in a subnet. Only 1-254. The 0 and the 255 are reserved. Unless you have it subnetted with a net mask that isnt classfull. Like 192.168.1.0/24.

It is the last 2 useable addresses. Routers are usually given the first address for the default-gateway. You can use any address you want to, but it makes it easier to assign end user's pc's with the first addresses than the last ones.

I would say that if you use the magic number method of subnetting... 256 bit encryption would be like using 10 to the 8th power better than 128. Since this is using decimal instead of binary numbers. So it would be 1,000,000,000 times stronger encryption. Just a quick guess.
