Yung Dre Dre, born Antonio Simmons is a music artist, song writer, and producer from Beaufort, South Carolina. At the age of fourteen, he began to write and produce his own music, which led to presenting his unique sound online where he started to gain his own following. As his popularity continued to grow, he caught the attention of Aqulis "Gambino Slim" Bell who signed him under his imprint, Time 2 Shine Entertainment in 2010. Having the same birth date of the legendary Tupac Shakur and sharing the last name of music mogul Russell Simmons (although no relation), creates a certain appeal and mystique about his persona. His influences include such artists as T.I., Drake, and B.O.B. which have inspired his very own sound. He has managed to use a similar formula as rapper Soulja Boy by using social networks and taking advantage of the power of the internet to build his fan base. He released his debut single titled "Ringtone" in early 2011 with a catchy hook and original style of flow to appeal to an audience of all ages.
