With a sigh full of longing, I watch the winged creatures glide across the sky like wisp of light.
Stretching my red velvet petals toward the heavens, I try to capture that beauty and make it my own.

But it was for naught.

Even though I knew that my beauty was forever a pulsing beat of love and passion,

It was for naught.
Even though the creatures of the sky were not more lovely than I, those strange creatures of the sky are still yet lovelier than I.

For my beauty decends and fades upoun the earth.

The diffence between the aerial creatures and myself is vast. Freedom and dreams incarnate, they are. I am a fleeting glimpse of mirth and bliss.

As the cold darkness; a freedom of its own in a way, takes a beseeching hold, the last red breath of the essence of my beauty falls the oppiste direction of my beloved sky. So now I begin to fade.

And it was for naught.
