It never made any sense to that restaurants care if some customers are barefoot. In beachy towns it can be quite common for people to forgo shoes (and shirts), even in restaurants.

Why would anyone thing the video is fake? Obviously, in an earthquake the camera would shake a lot more than the ground, and there would be more water movement than land movement.

The tiny cut-outs don't stay behind, you have to poke them out with a sharp knife. It's very hard to get the small pieces lined up properly, no matter how many times you peel it off, spray it down, and try again.
