I have the exact same model. My problem with it is that although it drains the water it leaves the suds behind in the drain sump below the inner drum meaning the clothes don't get rinsed properly. Does this machine use high water levels on the rinses and wash like the 95 series Hotpoints?

Do these machines use the same amount of water on the wash and rinse cycles as the Hotpoint 95 series?

How come the machine isn't rinsing properly and suds remain til the final rinse? Could of used too much detergent or you have soft water? I noticed it went into spin whilst water was still in the drum, is there a fault with the module or pressure switch?

How much water does this machine use? Does it rinse well in deep water?

When i had the 9506 it sometimes never used to drain the water and go into spin like yours did. Is that a fault with the programmer, module or pressure switch?

How do you rate the rinsing performance of the 95 series machines compared to the WM31 Hotpoint? Here is someone with allergies to detergents so rinsing is important to me. Where you get this Hotpoint from? Love to own one like this.

Thanks for that ill stick to powder/tablets. You would think liquids would be easier to rinse seeming as they are predissolved.

Great rinse cycles. How come these still achieve A rating and use loads of water? I wish i bought one of these instead of my Bosch now.

Do these models use more water than the older models like the WM models? Im guessing as they have no 'Super Rinse' buttons this model uses plenty of water on wash and rinses. I can't stand these stupid modern hotpoints they don't wash well nor rinse well as these sort.

Ariel was much better at cleaning in the 1990's now its rubbish and hardly shifts stains.

Does anyone find the new washing detergents too foamy and difficult to rinse compared to the old formulations like Persil? The new Persil Bio stinks except the non bio one.

Do phosphates make detergents rinse better? The modern detergents are a bugger to rinse. I still haven't found one that rinses clean yet not even the Amway SA8 liquid since they changed it.

Why do rate the screw in bulbs the best? Older lights light Pifco and Noma used to be made in Hong Kong or Taiwan. Do you think since production has been moved to China do you think modern quality has gone down hill. I only had to replace 1 bulb on a set of Pifco shadeless lights in 15 years!

I only have the 'Victorian Lanterns' and 'Golden Lanterns' as yet but intend to collect more. Do you find the plain shadeless lights of today 'Christmassy' compared to the Pifco ones?

Can you still get these type of Hotpoints? Why can't Hotpoints be made like they used to be. They used to actually wash in water unlike the modern ones.
