Caroline Kennedy Schlossberg walks like an oaf, and always has. I've seen her at the hairdresser's and a few NYC functions, and she is graceless. Unfortunately, very unlike her mother, who actually glided when she walked.

This was done during a solemn time. It doesn't matter who she did it to.

There's no excuse. However, these people are plainly arrogant. I have personally encountered the same type of disrespectful/"I own this place" behavior from her mother when she was younger.
