Page and Plant : Wembley Arena 1998 .
No Quarter : Part 1/2 : Friday November 6th 1998 .
I was at this concert and the night before. Jimmy Page & Michael Lee especially were just stunning. "Wanton Song" opened the set and i felt that riff just nailed my boots to the floor!

Superb guitar playing and a great performance all round; this is rock music at it's best and a real joy. I'm starting to think Jimmy Page is UNDERrated!!.

Jimmy Page & Paul Rodgers-Who's to Blame
Jimmy Page & Paul Rodgers perform Who's to Blame from the Death Wish II soundtrack on the ARMS tour in 1983 in Madison Square Garden
@zabbott51 I was rather under the impression it was more about the music than "destroying" people? I also feel one reading your reply might find your grammar rather different to that accepted so might also question the value of your comments.

Jimmy Page & Paul Rodgers-Who's to Blame
Jimmy Page & Paul Rodgers perform Who's to Blame from the Death Wish II soundtrack on the ARMS tour in 1983 in Madison Square Garden
@zabbott51 I've seen Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page and Eric Clapton live. They've got different styles and approaches. If i may say, Jeff's more staccato; brief flurries of phrasing. Eric seems fluent but i wonder if he's not really moved on. Jimmy, you have to remember, was a session man and those guys,...

@johntg123 He writes the best songs! I keep searching Youtube for someone else to listen to but i kep coming back to Jimmy's music; ive realised it's because that's my favourite music! @streetender1878 Oh dear, sorry if i offended you; i see he's your favourite and that's your opinion and you're entitled to it.However, it's my view from an unemotional standpoint he certainly set a blueprint for blues playing that present day players drew from and developed. He will always have ...

Never saw Clapton smile; remember he's susposed to have told Pete Townsend not to play any more solos. Had his day but far better guitarists now.

@MrFerdell Thank you for that; at the O2 gig did Jimmy use a slide on the Trampled Underfoot solo? It sounds very unusual---but very good!

@ZephyrRock Best version i've heard; they always played brilliantly in California. Much better than TSRTS version. Magic guitar solo from Jimmy; very well constructed and played; they certainly were the best.

Jimmy Page is anything but sloppy. You have to remember he always used a certain degree of improvisation which made people think he'd lost his way or made mistakes.
Incidentally, this is the best, most fluid Heartbreaker solo i've heard. I saw Page and Plant on three occassions and i can tell yo...

I was there; his playing is certainly not soppy; it is a misconception the media have jumped on. Don't forget he's played this many times and to keep the song alive has to introduce variety- misconstrued as mistakes. Don't forget he has EC & JB waiting in the wings so he's not going to let himsel...

@Udonitron Amazing guitarist isn't he! I think he's such a natural born entertainer. His session man past shows through as well; he knows exactly when to take a chance and when to keep it really tight. I think he's under-rated!
