The speaker is attached to the bottom part of the steering wheel couling. Simple connector. At least you can undo that until you find the cause. That gong noise is one of the worst sounds in the world!!

Great video! Nice cover of a great song. I've only been to Paris once and I the best memory I have from there is sitting out in the sun much as you are there listening to street singers. There is something magical about it.
