I write, direct, shoot, and edit short film.
Add to that, I'm a musician and improv performer.
I consider myself blessed and lucky because I've made a living off all the above. Now I have a real job until I can reach my ultimate goal- to be a television comedy writer.
I've had a life long love affair with television comedy. It got me thru a very painful childhood. I can't think of a better thing to do than get locked in a room full of smelly writers and cartons of Chinese food and write comedy all through the night.
After doing improv for 2 years, I decided I didn't like stage time that much. It's too limiting.
I love indie rock music, indie films, NPR and my new obsession: Bollywood.

Interests and Hobbies: Collecting the newest Mac toys!! (helpless Geek) Writing Podcast material and stand-up material for friends. Doing light shows and dj stuff. Teaching kids improv, guitar and tech stuff. I like to make little &quot;audio postcards&quot; for people and will be podcasting them soon. Driving my VW Bug. Thrift store scavenging. I decorate my house with a lot of &quot;kitch&quot; from the 40's thru the 70's. I love Ikea and Target too!
Movies and Shows: Movies: All Wes Anderson films. Television: Late night comedy- I live for it! Big fan of Conan O'brien, Jim Gaffigan, Demitri Martin and Fred Goss. I never miss my favorite weekly radio shows: &quot;This American Life&quot;, &quot;Wait Wait Don't Tell Me&quot; and &quot;Le Show - with Harry Shear&quot; All on NPR.
Music: You can't live in Dayton and not be a fan of The Pixies, The Breeders and Guided By Voices. But sadly- those bands are in the past. My first love is indie rock, followed by all the classic rock I grew up with in the 70's. ("Music anchors the soul" is my favorite tag line.) Presently I like Belle and Sebastian,The Flaming Lips, Sufjian Stevens, Franz Ferdinan...oh crap I'm such a slave to music I can't possibly name everything I'm in love with.

	bigjess71 \| July 23, 2008 The video that you posted about the Vietnam War is awesome.Your friend shot some great footage while he was over there.The little kid smoking the cigarette was kind of funny.He was just looking up at the soldier like it was no big deal.
