Professionals Against Prohibition
Please support Professionals Against Prohibition... subscribe to 1UnitedProfessionals to show you are in support of legalizing marijuana.
Medicine, fuel, food, shelter, clothing, paper, plastics AND a reduction in atmospheric carbons... all from one plant.
Our member base is comprised of teachers, doctors, lawyers, corporate CEO's and officers, business owners and operators, and others holding professional licenses and positions.
Together, and individually, we are working to end marijuana prohibition. Our motivations for doing this may vary by degree. Whether the focus lies in patients rights to Medical Marijuana, the rights of individuals to Recreational Use or the desire to see hemp crops utilized as a viable source of revenue for the US Economy and our Country's farmers; our goal is common, to educate our friends, family, neighbors and colleagues, and to continue to support, introduce and promote legislation supporting the complete decriminalization of cannabis, marijuana, hemp.
We support the efforts of L.E.A.P. ( Law Enforcement Against Prohibition) and admire each member for the courage demonstrated in this arena of the movement toward reformed marijuana laws.
Professionals Against Prohibition exists to present a wide array of testimonials and endorsements from professionals who have excelled in their personal and professional goals. A testimony of re-education in current cannabis culture. We are that young professional couple next door and the friendly older couple down the street. We are the young college student pursuing his dream and the young business woman climbing the corporate ladder. Until now we have gone unrepresented. Our numbers are strong. Our voices, are now to following suit.
Coming forward in a united front, offering a re-education in cannabis, its history and its uses, in pursuit of legalizing marijuana is our most powerful tool. It is crucial that we, who have remained intentionally under the radar for so long, step out of the shadows, stand up and exercise these wonderful minds of ours to help implement this change. It is essential to the movement. And the movement is essential to a sustainable, non-toxic solution to the detrimental social, environmental, medical and financial practices related to marijuana that are currently held in employ by special interest corporations and the inept Government officials presently entertaining this legislation.
Please join us in helping to enact the decriminalization of marijuana. It is the individual which determines the balance. Without the individual's participation, there is no one to unite.
Please sign at least one state and one federal petition this year. If you are fortunate enough to have a marijuana reform law on your ballot, make your voice, your CHOICE, heard. It IS possible to move this to conclusion by Nov. 2012.

WHO SUPPORTS THIS PLANT?
"There is nothing better then sitting on my Back Veranda smoking Hemp. And Observing as far as the eye can see" ~Thomas Jefferson 1783
Make the most of the Indian hemp seed, and sow it everywhere."
~George Washington, The writings of George Washington Vol 33, page 270 (Library of Congress), 1794
Two of my favorite things are sitting on my front porch smoking a pipe of sweet hemp, and playing my Hohner harmonica." ~Abraham Lincoln (from a letter written by Lincoln during his presidency to the head of the Hohner Harmonica Company in Germany)
"Prohibition will work great injury to the cause of temperance. It is a species of intemperance within itself, for it goes beyond the bounds of reason in that it attempts to control a man's appetite by legislation, and makes a crime out of things that are not crimes. A Prohibition law strikes a blow at the very principles upon which our government was founded."
~Abraham Lincoln (1809-65), U.S. President.
Speech, 18 Dec. 1840, to Illinois House of Representatives
"Why use up the forests which were centuries in the making and the mines which required ages to lay down, if we can get the equivalent of forest and mineral products in the annual growth of the hemp fields?"
~Henry Ford
