Mike FLY is an American hip-hop artist. Born Brandon Michael-Anthony Brooks, on November 17, 1991, in Detroit, Michigan. Like any other kid on the Eastside of Detroit he was born into a single parent home, living with just his mother Aleca Brooks a medial clerk for the Wellness Plan. She always put him first and gave him everything he wanted, she made sure he was always reading a book; he learned how to read at the ripe age of 4. Early on labeled as a genius by his peers and family, Mike attended Damon J. Keith Elementary School, were he was placed in Gifted and Talented classes and even participated in performing arts. Mike gained an interest in music early on, when his mother married Sam Roberson a wielder for GM. Sam also known as Greg had a huge music collection that ranged from Tupac to Paul Hardcastle. Brandon would sneak and listen to Greg's records when no one was around. In 9th grade Mike formed a group under the name of "Red Boyz", going under the stage name of Lil Savage, with his childhood friend Brian Miller. "Its funny we were like 12 and 13, making beats on a PS2 game (E-Jay), and recording songs on a karaoke machine" says Mike. Mike and Brian didn't get too far with "Red Boyz", so the group split, but Mike continued rapping when he attended Ferndale University High School. Mike joined a group called CNC black, along with Nolan the Ninja, and Epidemik. Then after 16 years Mike and his mother moved to Riverdale, Georgia, where Mike attended Jonesboro High School. At Jonesboro H.S Mike began to flourish as a M.C known for his freestyles outside the cafeteria and in his English classes were his teachers encouraged it. Over the 2008-2009 school year Mike began to post music on Imeem, under the name of Yung Mike, where his music received over 1000 plays. Mike began to rebuild from the ground and is currently working on his Debut mixtape entitled The House Party. Goal is to win a Grammy
