PRAY FOR ALL PRIESTS
They need our prayers;
† † † † † † † † † †
God our Father,
You reveal your omnipotence in the superabundance of your mercy, poured forth into the world through the sacred wounds of your Son and our Redeemer.
We ardently pray that your sacred ministers may be clear reflections of your mercy. May they, with every word and deed of their life, illumine humanity disoriented by sin, and bring it back to you, who are Love.
We ask this, Father, through your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, forever and ever. Amen
† † † † † † † † † †
O Jesus, our great High Priest,
Hear my humble prayers on behalf of all your priests.
Give them a deep faith
a bright and firm hope
and a burning love
which will ever increase
in the course of their priestly life.
In their loneliness, comfort them
In their sorrows, strengthen them,
In their frustrations, point out to them
that it is through suffering that the soul is purified,
and show them that they are needed by the Church,
they are needed by souls,
they are needed for the work of redemption.
O loving Mother Mary, Mother of Priests,
take to your heart your sons who are close to you because of their priestly ordination,
and because of the power which they have received to carry on the work of Christ in a world which need them so much.
Be their comfort, be their joy, be their strength, and especially help them to live and to defend the ideals of consecrated celibacy. Amen.

PRAYERS FOR PRIESTLY VOCATIONS;
O Holy Spirit, Spirit of wisdom and divine love, impart Your knowledge, understanding, and counsel to youth that they may know the vocation wherein they can best serve God.
Give them courage and strength to follow God's holy will. Guide their uncertain steps, strengthen their resolutions, shield their chastity, fashion their minds, conquer their hearts, and lead them to the vineyards where they will labor in God's holy service.
Amen.
† † † † † † † † † †
God our Father, who wills that all men be saved and come to the knowledge of Your Truth, we beg you to send laborers into Your harvest and grant them the grace to speak Your word with all boldness so that Your word may be spread and be glorified so that all nations may know You, the only God and Him whom You have sent, Jesus Christ Your Son our Lord. Amen.
† † † † † † † † † † † † † † † † † † † †
PRAYER FOR THE RETURN OF LAPSED CATHOLICS TO THE SACRAMENTS;
Almighty Father, You desire not the death of the sinner but that he may be converted and live. Pour out upon us Your mercy and hear the prayers of Your servants. Soften the hearts of Your children who have strayed from the true path which You established for their salvation. They are now forgetful of their duties as Catholics, and pursue the pleasures of the world. Grant that they may quickly return to the practice of every Christian virtue, so that their lives may shine with the integrity of faith, the fervor of piety, and the ardor of charity. Restore them all to Your sacraments and the life of Your grace, through the merits of the most precious blood of Your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.
† † † † † † † † † † † † † † † † † † † †
PRAYER FOR CHRISTIAN UNITY;
O Jesus, true God and true man, by the desire of Your Sacred Heart for the salvation of the world, we humbly beseech You, that we who glory in the Christian name may be drawn into the full and proper heritage of that name. May we be one in You, as You are one with the Father, that the world may know that He has sent You, and that we are Your disciples. May we be inseparably united to You, by the Holy Spirit, in Your mystical body, the Church, now and forever. Amen.

THE JESUS PRAYER
by St. John Gabriel Perboyre
O my Divine Savior, transform me into yourself.
May my hands be the hands of Jesus.
May my tongue be the tongue of Jesus,
Grant that every faculty of my body may serve only to glorify you.
Above all, transform my soul and all its powers,
that my memory, my will and my affections
may be the memory, the will and the affections of Jesus.
I pray you to destroy in me all that is not you.
Grant that I may live but in you and for you,
and that I may truly say with St. Paul:
"I live, now not I, but Christ lives in me" (Gal 2:20).

SAINT MICHAEL THE ARCHANGEL,
defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the Devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly hosts, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan, and all the evil spirits, who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen

JESUS IS OUR BREAD OF LIFE IN THE EUCHARIST!
The Gospel of Saint John, chapter 6;
51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven; if any one eats of this bread, he will live for ever; and the bread which I shall give for the life of the world is my flesh."
52 The Jews then disputed among themselves, saying, "How can this man give us his flesh to eat?"
53 So Jesus said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, you have no life in you;
54 he who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.
55 For my flesh is food indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.
56 He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I in him.
57 As the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father, so he who eats me will live because of me.
58 This is the bread which came down from heaven, not such as the fathers ate and died; he who eats this bread will live for ever."

PRAYER TO JESUS FOR THE GRACE TO RECEIVE HIM FREQUENTLY IN HOLY COMMUNION;
O Jesus, Savior of my soul, I beseech Thee to grant me an ever-increasing desire to receive Thee in Holy Communion. Let each reception of Thee fill my heart with a fervent desire to receive Thee again. Let me so desire Thee that I may never forget Thee.
From one Communion to another, I ask that Thou nourish my soul with an ardent long to receive Thee. This desire will help my soul to cooperate with Thee, thus preparing it to receive Thee more worthily.
Grant, O most loving Jesus, that I may learn to appreciate the benefits of frequent Holy Communion for time and eternity.
O Sacrament most holy, O Sacrament divine,
All praise and all thanksgiving,
Be every moment Thine!

IN THE BEGINNING WAS THE WORD, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came to be through him, and without him nothing came to be. What came to be through him was life, and this life was the light of the human race; the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. The true light, which enlightens everyone, was coming into the world. He was in the world, and the world came to be through him, but the world did not know him. He came to what was his own, but his own people did not accept him.
But to those who did accept him he gave power to become children of God, to those who believe in his name, who were born not by natural generation nor by human choice nor by a mans decision but of God. And the Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us, and we saw his glory, the glory as of the Fathers only Son, full of grace and truth.

HAIL MARY FULL OF GRACE,
the Lord is with thee,
blessed art thou amongst women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus.
Holy Mary Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.
