Next time you cut an A coupe make your cut down by the belt line, there is a factory seam there and you will have far less chance of warpage and less bodywork to do if you cut it in the middle like you did. I saw a how to chop a model A coupe article in one of the rod magazines a few years ago...

Any particular reason why you are brazing things together and not simply welding them? Personally I mostly do gas welding and most of what you have brazed together I could weld pretty easy with gas, just use a big tip, turn up the heat and spend a little more time.

@samsoninthepit This is at least a 54 year old VW which translates into completely smog exempt and thus no restrictions on speed parts. If the lights work and you put a muffler on it and and maybe bumpers this car would be 100% street legal in California. I know, I live in CA and I drive one.
