Yes I believe that but I was just saying. When you get baptized you are publicly showing you are going to follow Christ but that doesn't entirely mean a free pass to heaven but yes in the bible Jesus commanded it

In Matthew Jesus said that we are to be lights of this world. That city on a hill. A man doesn't just light a lamp and cover it. He puts it atop a table and lets its light shine. So we people are supposed to spread our light. The word of Christ. We are to be the salt of the world to keep the flavour goin'!
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made now. In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. John 1:1-5 There is no one like God. He made all things.
He has risen! That is what happened next. After 3 days of staying in the tomb Jesus rose again! He has conquored death so that we could have life! Hallelujiah!! HE HAS RISEN! That is the whole meaning of Easter Christ died on the cross for our sins to pay a debt we WOULD NEVER be able to pay. And do you wanna know what else. He rose again for us. Did he want to do this? Probably not. But was he doing it for himself? No. He did it for us because that is how much he LOVES US!

Hey y`all know that tom. is good Friday right. you know what good Friday is. Good Friday is the day (not precise in our timing but...) it is the day that Jesus was crucified, died on the cross for us. Yes he died for US. He didn`t have to but he did. If you look back at what I wrote I said that Jesus was born so he could die for us. And what happens 3 days later.
