Don't be silly. Of course they're nu metal. The Sisters of Mercy long claimed they weren't a goth band. A point that they were often teased on. Deftones may very well be one of the better nu metal bands, but they're still a nu metal band.

When I owned this back in the late 80s, this song was listed on sleeve but was actually left off the cassette version of the album that I owned. So despite having listened to Fabulous Disaster in its entirety hundreds of times I only heard this track for the first time a couple years ago.
Still better than Chinese Democracy.
