I wanted to share this article (link below) w/Lindsay and other teenage moms. This woman gave up her baby at 17 and was reunited at age 100.I love when these things come full circle, when people get to come face to face w/the past that the never thought would really surface.

Do these women do anything except sit/stand around? Can they? Or do they have servants because they are rich, not because they are physically incapable?

I know some Apaches are hurt by this being publicized. But the message here is very universal when the girl must endure dancing, etc. for hours on end. It is preparation for a life in which many of us are pushed to our physical and mental limits in many ways--regardless of culture.

Many teen dads are driven away because the expectations of them are unrealistic on the part of the girl and/or her family. They feel like failures and take off. The girl's role is very biological, instinct. But people expect him to act like he's 30, not 16.

I don't get the part about the water draining into the red bucket under the sink. Why can't you just have a pipe running outside into a dry well? Also, how do you use dirty dish water on veg. gardens if it has soap in it?

On another note, I like home birth. My father was born at home, in a tenement NYC apt. I have the bed on which he was born, my aunt was born there, too. The birth cost $25, go figure, that was the Dr.'s fee.
