well i heard during the 2011 cold blast from Antarctica, it brought snow up to Dargaville or snow, so there's a possibility that was snow. It also snowed here in Auckland, unfortunately I didn't see it :(

this was during the prolonged cold period in NZ, so yea Dargaville did have some snow accumulation, but mainly hail, i think snow fell up to Dargaville/Whangarei or sumthing, light snow did fall here in Auckland, unfortunately I didn't see it!

the polar blast brought snow up to Auckland here and as far north as Dargaville. It snowed for very short periods and without any accumulation. Unluckliy I didn't see any snowfall
