Hey, I'm 17 and I started off with a 250r when I was 16 and have recently ridden a 650r. What I can tell you is it has less to do with age/weight and more to do with experience. Take the MSF and get a 250r, you will learn much faster and it will be much harder to get yourself into trouble.
