Jamaican descent, American born, and college educated musician. Feel like I got potential to be great just need some one to give me a chance.

I was born in Norfolk, Virginia in 1987 by a 16-year-old young Jamaican lady. Growing up wasn't easy due to the fact of not having a father and having a young mother. Everything was a struggle growing up and we didn't have much. I was raised in the ghetto but was never raised to be ghetto. Where I come from I done seen it all and did it all. From murders to drugs to abuse and to even being rejected and not accepted by my own family everything a young kid shouldn't be exposed to I was.
I always wanted to better myself. So I Found God through Christ and my life changed for the better. Statistically being where I'm from your not suppose to make it, but I did. And now I know all of my struggles are my blessing. So I use music to express my joy, my pain, my guilt, my life, and my redemption.
Follow me on this journey as I begin to fulfill God's plan, which is my destiny. I'm Malaki. And I can't stop until the World knows who is I. I'm a Rapper/writer/Producer/ I can do it all. Trying to get this record and publishing deal so I can compose music for other artist. I'm into all genres and different shit.

I feel that my song Lyrics of my life is a great quality radio ready catchy song for people to listen to. Also its a introduction of Malaki to the masses. I feel that I'm unique because my music has a message in it. Doesn't matter what type of song I do I'm going to have some type of message in it. That's what Malaki is all about the message. My name means Message of God or God message. Two notable accomplishes I done receive is when I perform at my school Hampton University and got a standing ovation at a talent show. The second accomplishes is the tons of support I've received from people around the world on youtube. I received lots of views and people around the world know who I am and waiting for me to drop my first up coming mixtape called The Introduction To What I'm About To Become. Mixtape will be release some times in September.
