yeah when we tried crankin it over is was real slow and that strap started smoking, I would probably put another ground just in case because the motor shifts around and it might lose ground.

You will probably want to put a heavier ground on your engine if that strap is the only thing grounding it. Iv tried starting a old impala with the battery grounded to the body and it fried the ground strap.
