I was speaking specifically of drag cars since thats what we do.. And I don't know who you hang around with that drives a drag car but I assure you that myself and lots of others I know do not run air filters and we certainly do not rebuild our engines all the time. I've been doing this for years...

You should be much happier with the K&N filter. Around here, (Seattle area) there are noise ordinances, so if your car or car stereo is above a certain db they can write you a citation.

For all those that did not get to see them in the 70's, you REALLY missed a great band!! Go try and find "Two for the Show" and listen from beginning to end and you might understand. What a great concert. Saw them 3 or 4 times back then.

Yes, absolutely!! I love the top end/finish line perspective. Especially when say 10:50 car is running an 8:30 car. The quicker car is coming so hard at the finish its hard to believe how much ground he is making up!!

I saw Travers several times thru the years and this line-up was THE band. Talk about in-your-face rock!! Pat-Pat-Mars and Tommy...no one could touch these guys at the time!! My band got a chance to open for Travers in the early 90's when Jerry was in the band and it was very good then too. ...

I hurt the motor at the end of last year. Detonated #8 piston and sent shrapnel around the motor. In the middle of another engine build with lots of new go fast stuff. We should be in the high 10's or low 11's next year. It will be a 393 ci stroker this time. Looking for 1:40 60' times !

That sounds great ! I'm not so lucky in that respect. Seems like mine had some hard times before me. The driver door is from a yellow 73 mach1 and was repainted. It also had major battery acid corrosion on the passenger side engine bay. They didn't have the battery held down and it hit the alter...
