Judaism is so special in many ways,it was the first religion to use moral laws,seperating the molar actions from the immoral actions. Judaism is a religion that many others tried to copy (Christianity and islam and their heresies) but it was in vain because they didn't have somethng certain,the didn't have Divine Laws that will be useful even in our times.(nothing against these religions at all, a religion is also a personal philosophy ,so the followers of these religions propably find something they like in them)
Judaism is also special because its the only religion that can form a nation,the jewish nation. Also Judaism is the only religion that passed science and histical knowlege to its followers and to the whole world as well. Amazing facts about Judaism are the cities of the middle east that were found by the archaeologists only with the directions that where given from the Tanakh.
The jewish people now is a complicated term that its not easy to be tracked down due to the fact that Judaism was not created by Abra'am or Moses but by G-D Himself. G-D proclaimed the creation of a people that will worship Him (promise of the birth of the Jewish Nation) and that will have the right to live in the Land of Israel (Eretz Yisrael).Since the beggining it was well known that Judaism's fate was to become an international religion as we find commantments from G-D asking from Abra'am to do circumcision to his workers and slaves as well and the commandment that He gave to Moses to accept in the land of Israel whoever wanted to worship Him (becoming a jew)
The duty of a Jew (Israelite) is to protect Israel with his words and actions. To love the fellow jews and the people that love him/her.To worship and love Hashem (G-D) and to have family and children.
The Land of Israel is a place where the Jews can call it home. In fact it was the home of Judaism (where the holy city of Judaism...Jerusalem is located) for more than 3500 years, since Abra'am settled there and his family as well for ages.The borders of Israel were crearly declared in the Torah and the modern state of Israel is just a small taste of the real size of the land of Israel but again its the place were all jews,from Americas to Asia and from Africa to northern Europe, can call as home
